I don’t think it’s weird to have a preference with regard to what type of porn you enjoy, everyone has certain things that turn their crank; for some people it’s huge breasts, for other’s it’s barely legal teens, for still others it’s transgendered sex, and for you (as well as many others) it’s H-anime rather than live-action porn.
I doubt you’re the only person in your area who likes hentai, but perhaps not many of the people in your circles have been exposed to it. Despite the popularity of cartoon shows that AREN’T for children (The Simpsons, Family Guy, Drawn Together, etc) many people still associate animation with entertainment for children. The idea of pornographic animation/drawings can make some people feel uncomfortable – even though it is clearly not meant for children in any way.
If you were going to introduce your love of hentai to a new partner I would suggest taking it slow; maybe watch some live-action porn with them and then mix in a little “mainstream” hentai (nothing too crazy, save the catgirls/boys and tentacles for later). Ease your partners new to h-anime into the idea that drawings can be just as stimulating as “normal” porn.
Of course, hentai isn’t for everyone; like I said above, everyone has their personal preferences and your lovers might never develop the interest in h-anime that you have. The best you can aim for is to have partner who at least accepts your porn preference, even if they don’t share it.
I actually used to really dislike normal porn, but really liked hentai and “cartoon porn”. I now like all kinds of porn, but I never saw anything much wrong with liking hentai.
And I’ve met some people who don’t like hentai themselves, but don’t care that I do…I guess it’s all about meeting the right people, yeah?
